Cookie Policy

This page explains what cookies are, which cookies Elaro uses, and how you can manage them. Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site function correctly and allow Elaro to understand how this resource is used.

Section 01

What Are Cookies

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by a website you visit. Cookies allow a website to recognise your device on subsequent visits, remember your preferences, and understand how you interact with the content. They do not run programs or carry viruses.

Cookies are categorised by duration — session cookies expire when you close your browser; persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or are deleted — and by origin, meaning whether they are set by this site directly (first-party) or by external services embedded within it (third-party).

Section 02

Cookies We Use

Elaro uses a limited set of cookies, organised into three categories: functional, analytics, and third-party. The table below summarises each cookie in use at the time this policy was last revised.

Name Category Duration Purpose
elaro_consent Functional 12 months Stores your cookie consent preference so the banner is not shown on every visit.
elaro_session Functional Session Maintains basic session state while you browse the resource. Expires when the browser closes.
_ga Analytics 24 months Used by Google Analytics to distinguish individual visitors. Set only if analytics cookies are accepted.
_ga_* Analytics 24 months Google Analytics session identifier. Set only if analytics cookies are accepted.
NID Third-Party 6 months Set by Google Maps when the embedded map on the contact page is loaded.
Section 03

Functional Cookies

Functional cookies are necessary for this resource to operate correctly. They handle basic tasks such as storing your cookie consent choice and maintaining session continuity as you move between pages.

These cookies do not track your behaviour across other websites, do not collect personal information for advertising purposes, and are not shared with third parties. Declining functional cookies may affect the basic activity of certain features of the resource.

Section 04

Analytics Cookies

Analytics cookies allow Elaro to understand, in aggregate, how visitors move through this resource — which pages are visited most frequently, how long visitors remain on a given page, and from where they arrive. This information is used to improve the structure and content of the resource over time.

Elaro uses Google Analytics for this purpose. Analytics cookies are set only when you select "Accept All" or "Partial" on the cookie consent banner. Selecting "Functional Only" prevents analytics cookies from being placed.

The data collected by analytics cookies is anonymised and aggregated before review. No individual visitor profile is constructed or retained. IP addresses are anonymised at the point of collection.

Section 05

Third-Party Cookies

When the embedded Google Maps component on the contact page is loaded, Google may set cookies on your device. Elaro does not control these cookies, and their behaviour is governed by Google's own privacy documentation.

No other third-party cookies are intentionally loaded by this resource. Elaro does not integrate social media sharing buttons, advertising networks, retargeting scripts, or cross-site tracking tools.

Section 06

Managing Your Preferences

Your cookie preferences can be updated at any time by clicking "Cookie Settings" in the footer of any page on this resource. The consent banner will reappear, allowing you to adjust your selection.

You may also manage cookies directly through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies from specific websites. The method varies by browser — consult your browser's help documentation for instructions.

Note that blocking all cookies through your browser may affect the basic functionality of websites you visit, not only this one.

Section 07

Opting Out of Analytics

In addition to managing preferences through the cookie banner, you may opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on, available from Google's tools pages.

Selecting "Functional Only" on the Elaro cookie banner prevents analytics cookies from being placed on this resource specifically, without requiring the browser add-on.
